Who the hell is Gareth Yates?

I’m Gareth but you’ll most likely know me as Gaz by the end and without wanting to sound like the Fresh Prince, I was born and raised in Sale in South Manchester. For those that don’t know, Sale was once voted the 4th best place to live in the UK so luckily having me around hasn’t had a disastrous effect on the local area.

I live at home with my partner Zoe and my two kids, Lyra and Arlo. Those who have worked with me in past will know how much the trio mean to me and if I’m not working I’m likely playing Dad’s taxi taking the kids to one of their many activities or parties. If we’re lucky me and Zoe may get chance to catch a film and grab a takeaway on a Friday.

I’ve been an estate agent for longer than I care to remember but with over a decade of experience in the Manchester marketplace I’ve definitely earnt my stripes and seen my hairline go back.

I’ve undertaken a range of positions from negotiator in branch all the way to managing Greater Manchester with a team of 24 agents. I’ve also had the joy of managing a team of virtual agents covering the whole of the UK. With all that in mind, I’m able to offer key insights at each stage of your journey but also add real value to achieving the best deal possible for you!

My Approach

I take great pride in being mancunian and make no apologies for it – it means I can apply my local knowledge to ensure we attract the right people for your property.

It’s key to remember though no two properties are the same, no two sets of circumstances are the same. I will tailor each strategy to the person in front of me and their story. I’ve seen too many agents try to use the same strategy repeatedly and watched it come unstuck on the simplest of sales as they haven’t thought outside of the box.

Dealing with lower amounts of live properties means you get more of my attention and we actually form a real team together to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Market share doesn’t mean anything to me, I’m not after the most properties listed or sold, I simply want to make sure each client is looked after and the process is as enjoyable as possible.

One thing you won’t see celebrated here though is “Sold in 24 hours” or “Sold before coming to the market”. I want to guarantee you the best deal for your situation and while having buyer lists and hot buyers lined up is important, I can’t lose sight of the fact you are paying me to secure the best price and open market is the only way to remove all elements of doubt.
